  Day 1: Friday: En Route

Depart on your flight to Cairo.



  Day 2: Saturday: Cairo

Arrive Cairo; Private Meeting at the door of the aircraft for a swift transfer to the VIP Airport Lounge. Enjoy refreshments while our representatives attend to all of the formalities. Introduction to your Private Guide and Driver; you’ll be driven to your hotel on the Nile River in your Private Mercedes Limousine. The remainder of the day at leisure to relax at your hotel. Evening: A specially arranged Private “Felucca” Candlelight Dinner on the Nile welcomes you to Cairo (weather permitting).



  Day 3: Sunday: Cairo

Drive to Giza with your Private Guide and Driver. Visit the Three Great Pyramids and enter the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Continue to the Solar Boat Museum, housing the oldest known ship in the world. Stand in awe at the magnificent Sphinx carved out of a single piece of stone. Try a camel ride before lunch at the historic Mena House Hotel. On to the
astounding necropolis of Sakkara, where architecture was born. See the soaring Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Zoser, the very first structure of stone to appear in the world. Discover the Pyramid of Dahsur, a fascinating link between the first Pyramid of Sakkara and the mighty Pyramid of Giza; explore the imposing Ted Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid. Tonight, the Driver is at your disposal - enjoy the fabulous restaurants, casinos and nightlife of Cairo.




  Day 4: Monday: Cairo

Pass by Tahrir (Liberation) Square, focal point and symbol of the Egyptian quest for democracy on your way to the world famous Egyptian Museum covering 5000 years of ancient Egypt civilization; view Tutankhamun's treasures and enter the fascinating Mummy Room. On to Old Cairo to visit the Coptic Church of St. Sergius where legend says Jesus and the Holy Family stayed after fleeing from Jerusalem. Continue to the restored Ben Ezra Synagogue, the oldest in Egypt, and the Mosque of Mohammed Ali, at the Citadel of Saladin. An a-la-carte lunch at a local restaurant highlights the flavors of Egyptian cuisine. Then, stroll through the bustling Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. Tonight, your driver is at your disposal for the evening.



  Day 5: Tuesday: Cairo/Luxor NILE CRUISE

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor; meeting and transfer to the luxurious Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise. Enjoy the elegant ambiance, expansive views and indulge yourself in the full-service spa with its rejuvenating treatments. After lunch, tour of Luxor with other quests of the Zahra, starting at the Karnak Temple-Complex, built by generations of Pharaohs over a 2000-year period and the Avenue of the Sphinx. On to the Luxor Museum to see its superb display of Egyptian Antiquities.



  Day 6: Wednesday: Luxor/Qena NILE CRUISE

An early morning adventure on a hot air balloon! (weather permitting)! Just before sunrise lift off from the magnificent Queen Hatshepsut Temple and slowly rise over the pink mountains of the Necropolis. Enjoy the inspiring views of the Nile River and the many tombs, temples, fields and charming villages. Afterwards, on to the imposing Valley of the Kings containing the secretive tombs of New Kingdom Pharaohs; enter the Tomb of Tutenkhamen and that of Ramses “the Six”. Continue to the Temple of Medinet Habu, the Mortuary Temple of Ramses III – a huge complex second only to Karnak in size. Stop at the Colossi of Memnon, rising 70 feet tall, before returning to the boat. Lunch on board as the boat sails to Qena; relax at the pool or spa before arrival. Early evening drive to Denderah to visit to the site of the temple complex dedicated to Hathor, goddess of love, beauty and fertility.



  Day 7: Thursday: Luxor NILE CRUISE

Early morning sail back to Luxor. Following a leisurely breakfast, visit the Valley of the Noble’s Tombs and Dier El Madina, the workman’s village, whose craftsmen built and decorated the tombs of the Pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings. Continue to the beautifully terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After lunch and some relaxation, visit the imposing Temple of Luxor with its grand colonnades. Evening, Cocktail Reception followed by dinner.



  Day 8: Friday: Edfu NILE CRUISE

As the boat sails to Edfu, enjoy a relaxing day on board enjoying the fabulous facilities of the spectacular Zahra and the superb
international cuisine. Early evening, during the cooler hours, visit the Temple of Horus, the best preserved of all large Egyptian temples, built over a 180-year period. Dinner and overnight in Edfu.




  Day 9: Saturday: Aswan NILE CRUISE

Sail to Aswan. Early afternoon visit to the Aswan High Dam, built to end the disastrous Nile floods. Continue by motorboat to the beautiful island of Philae to see the exquisite, white sandstone Temple of Isis. Dinner on board. Overnight in Aswan.



  Day 10: Sunday: Aswan NILE CRUISE

Sail to Kom Ombo, a hill town overlooking the banks of the Nile. Visit the Greco-Roman Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to Horus, the Sun God and Sobek, the Crocodile God. Return to Aswan for lunch and an afternoon “Felucca” ride sailing past the dramatic white marble Aga Khan Mausoleum to visit Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Garden. Evening: Attend the spectacular Sound & Light Show at the Temple of Philae. Dinner and overnight in Aswan



  Day 11: Monday: Aswan NILE CRUISE

A final day on board to thoroughly relax and reflect on all you’ve discovered in wondrous Egypt. An optional visit by horse and carriage may be arranged to the Nubian Bazaar, known as the “Spice Market.” Enjoy some final spa treatments. Tonight, cocktail Farewell Reception with entertainment on Mango Island.



  Day 12: Tuesday: Aswan / Abu Simbel / Cairo

Bid farewell to your fellow passengers and the crew of the Oberoi Zahra as you disembark. Private Transfer to the airport; board the short flight from Aswan to Abu Simbel. Arrival at Abu Simbel; transfer privately to the spot where Ramses II built his great monumental temple for himself and the smaller temple for his wife, Queen Nefertari. Complete this fascinating visit before your return flight to Cairo. VIP meeting and transfer to your hotel in Cairo for overnight



  Day 13: Wednesday: En Route

Transfer to Cairo Airport for your departure flight. Relax in the VIP Lounge while our staff attends to the check-in formalities. At boarding time, you'll be escorted to the departure gate.
